Lawrence N. Beer

Lawrence Beer has an
almost undefeated track record in obtaining public sector approvals for development projects throughout the United States for some really terrific clients, including Ericsson Inc., AT&T Mobility/Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile, Qwest Communications, Sprint, CH2M Hill, and BP Wind Energy.
Prior to establishing a development consulting practice which became The Montview Companies, Beer was manager of the Denver Area Educational Telecommunications Consortium, a non-profit provider of instructional television programming for the K-12 classroom. From 1977 to 1991, he was a newspaper advertising executive, trade association manager and broadcaster. He is a licensed real estate broker, and holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado.
From 2005 to 2009, he was a member of the City Council in
Aurora, Colorado, a city of 312,000 in the Denver metropolitan area; he previously served as a member of Aurora's Planning and Zoning Commission. As a city council member, he served on the IT and Communications Policy steering committee of the National League of Cities. He has served as chairman of the Denver cable television regulatory board and as a member of the Colorado Utility Consumers' Board, which advises the Colorado Public Utilities Commission on consumer issues. From 1999 to 2002, he served on the Board of Directors of a major regional mental health agency and as President of its affiliated low income housing corporation.
Beer and his family now live in the East Bay area near San Francisco, California.
