During my four year term, chaired the council committees on Planning & Development, Operations, Water, and Code Enforcement; also served on Management & Finance and Community Partnership committees. Served as the city’s representative on the boards of the Denver Regional Council of Governments and the Aurora Economic Development Council. Served on the Information Technology & Communications policy steering committee of the National League of Cities. Founded the Aurora Scholars Awards, a city-wide student recognition program, and the Citizens’ Planning Academy, an annual eight-week course to engage community leaders in the city’s planning and development practices.
